SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS 2021-22
Our students are making consistent endeavors to reach the pinnacle of success and to fulfil the dreams of our worthy founder
father Pt. Mohan Lal ji. It is a matter of pride that our volleyball team
brought laurels to the college by securing First position in Inter-college held
at GNDU, Amritsar in Division-B. There was total nine teams in our pool. Our
girls beat K.N College Phagwara, Hindu College Amritsar, Guru Nanak Khalsa
College Sultanpur Lodhi and SD College Jalandhar. GGDSD Society and College
President Sh. Upkar Krishan Sharma ji and Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neeru Sharma
congratulated team coach Sh. Purshotam ji, Mrs. Gagan and all players for their
brilliant performance. Madam Principal extended heartfelt gratitude to all the
members of the managing committee who always inspire and encourage us to
strive, to seek, to find and not to yield.
Our
student Arshdeep Kaur brought laurels by winning silver medal in Boxing
Championship National Camp in Sonipat Haryana. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neeru
Sharma said she has been selected for India camp and getting training in Rohtak
for international level. She congratulated her for this victorious moment. She
made special mention of coach S. Variyam Singh, under his able guidance, it
became possible for her to win this championship. She quoted that our students
not only shines in academics but also in sport field. She also congratulated Mrs. Gagandeep Kaur, Asst. Prof., Department of Physical Education and sports for
her valuable contribution. Arshdeep and her coach were honoured in the college
premises by Principal Dr. Neeru Sharma and Hiramani Aggarwal, Chairman, Local
Managing Committee.
