Pt Mohan Lal S.D. College for Women, Gurdaspur commemorated the 25th Death Anniversary of our founding father Late (Dr.) Pt. Mohan Lal Ji, an immortal luminary, a paradigm of perfection, a harbinger and true karamyogi, a dedicated social and political reformer and eminent educationist. A floral tribute was paid to him by College Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neeru Sharma, Staff Secretary Dr. Khushboo Aggarwal, the members of Academic Council, Office Suptd. and the support staff of the college. To pay homage to Pandit ji, a series of events were organised. A prathna sabha was organized where College Principal, staff members, non-teaching staff and executive members of Central Association paid floral tribute to Pandit Ji. The students of the Music Department recited bhajans. Central Association organised ‘Fruit Distribution Drive’ in slum school. In another event the College Principal, along with management members Sh. Arvind Hasteer Ji and Sh. Goraknath Ji, distributed uniforms to the maintenance staff. Sports kits were also distributed to the students. The College Principal while remembering the works and teachings of Pandit ji, said that Pandit ji's life journey was the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of selfless action and his life was always committed to values. He was an ideal educationist, ascetic, had nationalist ideas, gave importance to women's education and was a dedicated personality. She apprised that this organization run by him is setting new dimensions of success by carrying forward his good thoughts. It was his work that is bearing fruit today and the divine power in the form of his blessings always inspires us to move forward.
