06 Feb 2023 ↑ ECONOMICS AND COMMERCE DEPARTMENT OF OUR COLLEGE ORGANIZED A SKILL BASED WORKSHOP ON 'GENERATING SMALL BUSINESS CUSTOMERS WITH SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING' IN COLLABORATION WITH MGNCRE
On 6th Feb, 2023 Economics and Commerce department of our college organized a skill based workshop on 'Generating small business customers with social media marketing' in collaboration with MGNCRE (Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education) Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education ,Government of India. The keynote speaker of this workshop was Mr. Samarth Sharma (Young Entrepreneur and Consultant, MGNCRE, Ministry of Education, Government of India).
In this workshop, Mr. Samarth Sharma explained that the Social media marketing is a form of digital marketing that leverages the power of popular social media networks to achieve your marketing and branding goals. But it’s not just about creating business accounts and posting when you feel like it. Social media marketing requires an evolving strategy with measurable goals . He discusses the
importance of Social media marketing, Social media marketing platforms and potential target audience by giving suitable examples.
He told that if a person wants to carry on his business or wants to promote it then it is not enough to advertise only on TV and newspaper. As nowadays people are spending their maximum time on mobile phones . So, a person should learn that how he can attract maximum customer with the help of social media ie. Facebook, Youtube Instagram, Twitter, Blogs, LinkedIn etc.. Social media marketing increases trustworthiness and brand recognition, enhance the levels of customer service and satisfaction. Two hours were utilised in a very meaningful way . It was a very interactive and insightful session. Students really learnt a lot through this workshop.
Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Neeru Sharma appreciated the efforts of Mrs. Samita Khajuria (Co-ordinator) for making this workshop successful . She said such workshops are very much helpful in creating skills amongst students as it is the need of the hour and one of the essential element of New Education Policy .
