The IQAC organized a ‘G20 Exhibition’ to special walkways showcasing the
economy, politics, scientific and technological achievements, environment
preservation, culture and heritage of all the G20 nations. Prof. (Dr.) Preet
Mohinder Singh Bedi, Dean Students welfare, GNDU, Amritsar was the chief
guest. The students of different departments showcased the heritage of G20
Nations. The objective of the exhibition was to create awareness among students
about the background of the G-20 summit, its importance and to promote an
understanding about the relevance of the focused areas. The College Principal
Dr. (Mrs.) Neeru Sharma presented a welcome address. She said it's a matter of
great pride that India is hosting the G-20 summit. By leveraging its presidency,
India is fostering collaborative solutions that not only benefit its own population
but contribute to the broader global well-being, reinforcing its spirit of
‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. She said that this exhibition aimed at creating
interest, awareness and participation of students to better understand the
importance of G-20. Chief guest visited the various stalls put up by the different
departments. Students of the Science department prepared posters, working
models and various models on different scientific technologies such as
Chandrayaan, Crisper technology, Drip irrigation, missiles of G-20 countries, first
launched satellites of G-20 countries and many more. Students of the Economics
Department prepared models, charts and gave complete information about the
G20 economy. A detailed description on GDP growth, trade, inflation, currency,
foreign exchange was given. The Environment Association contributed an
innovative stall on National symbols of G20 countries. Sports club represented
the National Games of G-20 countries.
