23 Jan 2023 ↑ PATRIOTIC WEEK (23 JAN TO 30 JAN 2023)
Under the Patriotic Week, on 26th January 2023 Fashion Designing, Fine Arts and Home Science departments of the college celebrated Republic Day with gaiety and patriotic fervour.
Fashion Designing Department organised a face painting competition . Students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm and they made creative painting on their faces and hands. Our students Deepika, Manjot and Harpreet stood first, second and third.
In order to inculcate patriotism among students Fine Arts department of the college organised a slogan writing competition. Students showed patriotic fervour, flair and exhibited their creative skills by writing amazing thoughts of freedom fighters.
Home Science department took an initiative to make the occasion memorable and effective amongst all. Students prepared dishes on the theme of TIRANGA which included Pasta, Macaroni, Sweet rice, Dhokla, Idli, Fruit chart.
Also our students performed Giddha at District level Republic Day celebrations in presence of S. Harbhajan Singh, ETO, Cabinet Minister of Punjab and got an appreciation certificate for ‘Best Boliyan’ .
Principal Dr. (Mrs)Neeru Sharma said it's a matter of great pride for all of us because on 26 January 1950 the Constitution of India came into force and our country India became a Republic. She quoted that this day is the admiration day for the Constitution of India, as it is celebrated every year to reflect the unity in diversity.
Also college Principal appreciated the efforts of Mrs. Punita, Mrs. Harsha, Mrs. paramjit, Mrs. Kiran and Ms. Jyoti for celebrating events in a different and unique way
