15 Aug 2023 ↑ Three Months Training from 27th March to 5th August 2023 on Vermicomposting.

Under the realm of IQAC and IIC, Science department and Environment Association conducted 3 months training w.e.f 27th March to 5th August 2023 on Vermicomposting. Er. Yuvraj Krishan, Director Tathagata Organics Pvt. Ltd. was the trainer. It is the best method to produce organic manure free from harmful chemicals.  During this training, students learned the basics of vermicomposting, its meaning and various approaches to vermicomposting. The students gained knowledge about the Vermicompost preparation method, application method, management of vermicompost, how to make beds for vermicomposting, types of worms used, material used, stepwise information about suitable temperature and conditions and quantity of material taken etc. Trainer explained each and every step minutely that is required for the setting of the vermicomposting unit. On the last day students collected organic manure. This manure was purchased by faculty members. It was also used in the kitchen garden and S.D nursery of the college. The objective of this training was that the students would be able to set up their own vermicomposting units and work as entrepreneurs in future. All students were awarded with certificates. The College Principal expressed her gratitude towards the trainer Er. Yuvraj Krishan for providing wonderful sessions and acknowledged the efforts of incharges. 10 students and 10 faculty members got training on vermicomposting preparation under his supervision.
